“The Great Sentinel”  was inspired by a rare and unforgettable moment when I stumbled upon a great horned owl peering out from an old tree trunk.  The owl’s intense golden-yellow eyes captivated me instantly.

This piece reflects that rare chance encounter and the powerful presence of nature’s watchful guardian.
